HWM is a dedicated media entity with a special focus on the Hajj and Umrah industry in Nigeria. Our mission is to shed light on the issues affecting this vital sector, particularly the growing influence of certain establishment figures and politicians who form cabals to subvert existing laws for personal gain.
Unlike traditional media outlets, HWM operates as a faceless entity. We do not rely on identifiable individuals as public representatives. Instead, our focus is on building a strong media brand that prioritizes impactful content and collective effort. Based in the United States, we adopt a whistleblowing and news-leak approach inspired by platforms like WikiLeaks, as well as anonymous commentary models seen in platforms such as “Thought Catalog” and “9GAG.”
Our decision to remain faceless stems from the long-standing failure of conventional media in Nigeria to independently report on the Hajj and Umrah industry. Corruption, threats of violence, and a compromised judicial system have silenced many voices. These challenges make it difficult to expose the rampant anomalies and shoddy practices that are becoming increasingly prevalent in the industry.
HWM welcomes ideas, information, whistleblows, articles, leaks, and exposés—both positive and negative—aimed at addressing malaises and sharp practices, or offering encouragements to improve the Hajj and Umrah industry.
HWM is committed to addressing these issues with a bold and independent voice. We believe that urgent action is necessary to preserve the integrity of this important sector, and we aim to hold those in power accountable.
With your support and God’s guidance, we strive to make a difference.
